Watched Tampa last night and they shut them down and out. Back-to back big win tonight. Tampa looks far better than the Rangers and they are built for the playoffs. They are a flat out good team. Hedman will be back. Vasy had a tiny slump. Boston has looked damn dominant for a bit now, also. Our defense has been the opposite of theirs.

Trade him now while he's hot. His price tag is at the highest it will be. Always can try to re-sign him in off season at lower salary if they really want him.

Where the heck ya been man!! LOL

Hey dude, we better make some plans for some games fast!!! This team ain't gonna be around very long this year! Wanna meet up for one at Flannigan's after the All star Break? I got the first round!

I'll call you next week and we'll rip them to shreds in person for a change!!!

Nash did a good commercial for himself last night too!!! Good for him! I wanna see that guy play for a winner! ...Grabner is gonna net us a top 5 pick if he keeps playing like this!!!

Think we've seen enough of Mr. Softie yet? I've been done for years with this jerk off.

Top 5 pick? I?ll take that as sarcasm.

Yeah man...I'm with you, man! Thing is it just looks like they've given up on this coach, and worse; Hank has an off game and they get smoked. That guy's been saving their asses for a decade now and if the guy has one off night, last night happens. The team needs to get revamped. ...Starting you know where: I've even changed my prayers at night to "Hail Mary full of grace, please get this fucking jack off out of this place!" :deadhorse:

May want to change up that prayer, not going to get anywhere cursing in a prayer, he will be forever then.

Darren dreger reported yesterday on insider trading that interest in Grabner and Nash would be sky high

He also reported that the rangers have yet to ask Nash for the list of 12 teams he’d accept a trade to

That is hard to believe. The rangers are a gong show

I watch this team religiously...That's enough to make a saint curse!! LOL

So they're essentially playing .500 regulation hockey against playoff teams. Sounds right.

I don't know why people care about this team being outshot. They regularly pass up shooting opportunities and regularly play against teams who don't play hockey, they play "Durrr throw everything at the net and hope to get a bounce" offense.

I also don't get why people are hung up on regulation wins. As if an overtime win means that they didn't play well or it may as well be a loss.

I do think the Rangers would be better suited throwing more "durrr" shots at the net. They seem to thrive when they are shooting more.

Not hard to believe. Mgmt hates opening that barn door, especially the Rangers. They likely want everyone focussed on winning games and making the playoffs. I think Freidman was just "thinking", which is why he didn't say he or a source heard anything.

Do you think (this offseason) the Rangers ever asked G when his clause was to be "modified", to name teams? Or if Staal would waive? It is as if the team wants no press or drama, so they wait.

It is possible they may approach Nash once a team or two expresses interest. Then you have a tangible city and contender that is interested in the player, which is more real (and possibly attractive) to a guy like Nash.

Realistically, can you se the Rangers getting 0 points this trip and not beginning the process of talking to teams about Nash and Grabs, during the break? Especially if they are not resigning either before the deadline?

You don't ask a player their list early. That shit gets leaked and you have half as many teams bidding.

Do YOU care if the bidding is between a team he won't go to and a team he will?

Why? There's still a ton of time between now and the deadline. Not having asked yet means nothing right now. Especially if, as Dreger says, interest in him will be sky high. That market will create itself the moment they have that list. It's a mere formality at the moment.

This is the bigger point.

Look at what Philly had to do to get back into a playoff spot. Look at what Colorado had to do. It's herculean work - and it didn't catapult them into the division lead; it was enough to get them into the playoff conversation.

If we lose to SJ, here's where we're at:

4+ points out going into February

Next four games are Leafs, Predators, Stars, Bruins - I'd call that a 1-2-1 stretch, especially since we frigging suck in Dallas for some reason. Then Calgary, Winnipeg, Minnesota.

We'll know what's going on by that Bruins game, I think. If we lose to SJ, Leafs, Predators, Stars - that's probably the season.

Yeah, the schedule gets pretty bad which is why I think it's over at this point, barring a miracle.

I'm sure the FO is in contact with all the other FO's... Plenty of time to the deadline so we may as well play the games and see what happens in the next few weeks.

SJ coming out saying they wont deal picks/prospects for rentals.

They currently sit 2nd in their division, but only 1 point ahead of 9th place.
