jjweimar Posted February 15, 2017 Posted February 15, 2017 Saw today Antoine Vermette of Ducks was ejected for slashing a linesman should be a ten game suspension. I believe it's an automatic minimum. Will post source when I can was on espn homepage http://www.tsn.ca/vermette-handed-automatic-10-game-suspension-1.672436 Anaheim Ducks forward Antoine Vermette was handed an automatic 10-game suspension for abuse of an official on Wednesday. Vermette can appeal the suspension. Sent from my SM-G900V using Blueshirts Brotherhood mobile app powered by Tapatalk
phillyb Posted February 15, 2017 Posted February 15, 2017 A move that happens a hundred times in a game between players...Vermette was pissed about the faceoff, I guess...and was like, "Yo...the fuck man?" Well, you can't do that. Enjoy the time off, stupid head. BTW, I couldn't see the video on the TSN link; this is what I watched - https://streamable.com/7vta9
paddynyc Posted February 15, 2017 Posted February 15, 2017 What a dope with all the cameras at these games did he really thing he'd get away with it.

I heard them talking about it on NHL network but it didn't show the infraction that clearly. That was such a dick move.
Dunny Posted February 16, 2017 Posted February 16, 2017 Just a love tap. They could know each other for 30 years for all we know.
Phil Posted February 25, 2017 Posted February 25, 2017 :tweet: @theScore: Officials union reportedly prevented curtail on Antoine Vermette's 10-game suspension. thesco.re/2llVdZr pic.twitter.com/BQO9eLZ2wl -- I have no problem with this. It's a set rule. There's no reason to reduce it. Don't touch refs or linesmen.
