Phil
So basically you think pearl jam has one good album? That I listen to? Yup. Just can't sit through anything other than Ten. I like Cornell, he is a little wierd, but I do like him. I just couldnt stand hearing them every other song on the radio. I agree with you about K-Rock as well. I used to love 104.3 when they were new rock, they even played certain curses in songs, I thought they were better than K-Rock was. It sucks that there is no New York Rock stations. Thank god for XM radio, I listen to Lithium all the time. It was certainly tiring, but at the same time it was actually kind of nice to be able to listen to really great music that was actually from my generation on the radio at the drop of a dime. I wish they did a little more to find and promote new acts, but I could hardly complain considering they were the only option. Same.
NYR2711
Still listen to all those grunge bands daily. Alice in Chains, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, STP, etc. I do as well
TwoMinutesForNothing
If you buy XM or Sirius, they have a channel that is all 90's grunge/rock called Lithium. I love that channel, and they play tracks that arent the big hits which is awesome. Yeah I can still enjoy the old stuff. Just saying that most new music is just not stuff I can listen too. Nobody makes anything like this anymore. Dead Confederate was making some really good grunge music for the last few years, but seems to have sold out on their last album. I play a game when listening to the radio - it's called "Rihanna, Gaga or Usher" - and its a theory that one of the big stations will have a song by one of them or someone who sounds EXACTLY like them at any given time. Jules
Pearl Jam made two good albums. Ten and that last one. Everything in between did nothing for me, but I can't hate on Eddie Vedder, because his voice is unique and lots of his side projects are great music. Ha! That sounds like a miserable time... unless you are drinking every time you are right, in which case... no, fuck, that's still miserable. In fact, that's wake up in a hospital misery. Tonybologna
Don't forget rush. Will rep when on computer Rush is the most disappointing to still not see in the R&R HOF. High and Wide
Fuck the RRHOF. In: The BeeGees, Bonnie Raitt, Run DMC. NOT IN: Rush, Yes, King Crimson, Emerson Lake and Palmer, Deep Purple, ELO among others. Its a joke. Its a popularity contest. When you snub an entire sub-genre of rock(Progressive) continuously, then they shouldn't be taken seriously.

Saw them at Jones Beach twice and they amazed me both times
Rizz GAWD Lav No Cap FrFr
will make you feel freaking old. 2011 inductees - Guns n Roses, Beastie Boys and Red Hot Chili Peppers Eh, RHCP started in 83, that's almost 30 years ago now. GnR sucks so who cares, but I think RHCP and the 'Boys deserve it.

GnR deserves to be in over RHCP and Beastie Boys. Its fine if you dont like them, but you cant take anything away from them, they were one of the biggest bands in the world and sold out every arena. They are one of the hottest acts ever.

Selling out arena's and being a big act doesn't make you a good band. It's not like the RRHOF is about who sells out the most... By that logic, Lady Gaga owns the world. Commercialised shit- lol okay, here's where I have a bone to pick. All bands "sell out." The point about playing music professionally is that you want your music heard, and you want to make money off of it. Bands who sell their music to commercials, etc. Accomplish both, and for the guys who are still touring around in minivans, that money goes a long way. The only bands that don't do this is the super-metal bands, which are niche and don't really represent the music industry as a whole, anyway. I have lots of issues with the RRHoF, but having commercial musicians in there is not one of them.

By that logic, Lady Gaga owns the world. They also had a huge fan base, and there songs were/are excellent. There really isnt a bad song by them. They did change music and were a huge part of music in the late 80's early 90's. Honestly, they were probably the biggest rock band in the world at that time, plus Axel is among the top front men in all of music.

The rights to the Beatles songs were/are actually owned by Michael Jackson and his estate. He wouldnt sell them to the remaining Beatles members, and their lael sold the songs behind their backs.
