I saw that one coming from a while away and good for him to finally do it. By the way, Dance with Dragons is a stronger read than Feast of Crows, but all 5 books are really good.

By the time season two ends, I'll probably want to re read the series, especially since it will be summer.

Yeah, that's usually the trend in the series, the first couple of hundred pages start out a little slow and then it picks up, especially in the first two books where there's a lot of character introductions.

There was no way I wasn't reading the books after watching the first season, if the spoiler tags bother you, just don't read them or avoid the thread altogether :D

I like the casting of the new characters so far, they all seem to fit the descriptions of the characters very well. If the series continue to follow very closely to the books, this'll be a series for the ages that's for sure. I've reached the last couple hundred pages of book 5 and its been worth every page so far. Hoping its not another 5 years before book 6 is published!

Yes, but if the ages of all the characters were to be followed exactly, the series would be full of kid and teenager actors. In response to your spoiler on page 240 of volume 5, that was the last thing I was expecting at this point, and the way things are going that should set up something really exciting later on. P.S. Tyrion Lannister is awesome!

Needless to say, that is not how I envisioned that character to look like at all :p
