Just watched John Wick for the first time. Simply put: it's awesome. I can't wait for the second one.

Bicentennial Man. Good, a little sappy. 6.5/10.

Just saw it Saturday. It was good, but the first hour or so could've been better I thought. Once it started ramping up though it was great.

    National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation.

I haven't watched it probably since I was a kid, and I doubt I really understood Chevy Chase's humor then. I was laughing during the whole movie, but I died at the Pledge of Allegiance scene.

Wife and I saw Manchester by the Sea this afternoon. It's really, really good, but really, really sad. It covers such a heavy subject matter but does it genuinely and honestly.

I can see it cleaning up at the Golden Globe's and SAG's easily.

Finally caught Arrival tonight. Absolutely incredible. I'm still processing and reading on a few theories online, but before it was even over it vaulted into my top-10 all-time greatest sci-fi flicks list next to films like 2001, Interstellar, Alien (1), Sunshine, Ex Machina, and Moon.

For anyone who hasn't seen it, it's worth your time. Like Interstellar, it's all about time.

Caught John Wick 2, Logan, and Passengers this week. Really enjoyed all three.

Wick 2 is just a continuation of Wick 1. I feel like this series should go on as long as Wick has bullets. It's just wall-to-wall action.

Logan is, inarguably, the best X-Men movie produced for the MCU. Violent, vengeful, and terribly sad for all the right reasons. It's about time they got it right!

Passengers was good. I'd give it a solid B, maybe B-plus. There are some moments of absurdity, but conceptually it deals with a great subject matter (if you were on a space ship and woke up too soon without the ability to go back to sleep, would you wake someone else up knowing you'd condemn them to the same fate?).

Spider-Man Homecoming was the first time that character has truly been captured on film. I loved it. I hope the transitioning of time has him 3 or 4 years older for his next movie, but I think they did a great job with the world around him, how he interacts with Stark and how he becomes Spider-Man in a more every day capacity..
