    The Beer Thread

I remember this getting a lot of posts on the old board, so why not kick it back up here?

Phil, the lack of a chugging smily is becoming very apparent but here it goes

Got myself a bottle of this today, hoping to save it for a special occasion aka "lets get drunk."

Ive been wanting to get one forever but never did. anyone ever try it?

I had Molson Canadian X in Montreal this past week. Not bad, not great.

Guinness. I love Guinness. I'm always willing to try new beers, though I especially like dark beers.

Mostly, I drink "hick beers", as Phil calls them. Miller Lite, Coors Light. I don't like dark beers. If I'm at a bar, I'll drink anything other than Bud Light.

At a bar, I'll drink Bud light, Coors light, or Miller Lite. Dark beers, IMO, aren't prime beers to drink to get drunk. Dark beers are for summer nights around a fire, smoking cigars.

it all depends how im drinking. If honestly i know im going to be drinking a significant amount, it'll be lighter beer. Miller Lite is the "best" of the domestics. Amstel light or Heineken light of the imports.

If i'm just having a couple i go for taste and start getting more flavorful beers.

on the topic of liquor, I love Wild Turkey 101 proof whiskey. Whiskey is just a great drink in general.

Ive found this nice Beer distributor which isn't super strict on the IDing, so its my thing that every time I go there I gotta try a new one. Today I also picked up an Otter Creek SUmmer Ale. It was ok, not anything special though

Currently digging some Oskar Blues brews. They are the only craft beer company I've found to date who produce cans as their primary bottling resource.

Right now I'm digging Dale's Pale Ale:

Drinking beer out of aluminum cans should be outlawed.
