Also, I had a bit of shaft work done to my hybrid. It's a flat out monster now:
the weather has sucked up here recently, hoping to get on the course next week sometime
I'll be going next Friday. I cannot wait!
Having no money sucks. I've only played golf like 3 times since last February.
aspiration for late 2014 cost should be 35-40K
2013 rangers didnt show true potential due to lockout and roster changes, hopefully 14 will be an improvement
Played 9 yesterday Shot 40. Got off real hot and made a birdie on #1. Short Par 4 about 360 yards dog leg left. Hit a great drive over the corner and had a PW into the green. Tried the new white ice putter that odyssey sent me over the winter ball felt nice coming off of it but its going to take some time getting used to. Missed 2 putts that i feel i would of made with my eyes closed with the XG #9
Just remember, that putter works differently because of the position of the neck. The #9 is a putter that is chiefly meant for gates strokes, as are almost all heel shafted putter. They all have lots of toe hang and want to close through or just past impact. The anser style that your #1 is designed after is a bit more even tempered. It's heel toe balanced, so the weight is on the perimeter and is really built for a variety of players, not just one specialty like the #9.
yeah i gotta take it out to the putting green and spend an hour or so working with it
I had a tee-time for early Friday morning at around 6:30 and I didn't get to play because there was a frost delay. It wasn't even that cold!
shot 91 today. Could not hit a wedge or make a putt to save my life. Was good to finally get out and play 18 though. Hoping to get out at least once this weekend
I bought a used driver the other day. A Cleveland HiBore XL.
Quick story, I was hitting a few Callaway drivers. I was settled on getting an FT xi (I think that was the model). Right before walking up to the register, I decided to test a few random clubs, 1 being the HiBore. Its an older model, and its not in great shape, but I was CRUSHING the ball with this club. I was consistently around 230 (I never drive the ball that far). On top of that, I couldnt miss-hit it. Most everything was within 10 yards of the middle of the virtual fairway. It was also incredibly cheap, so I bought it. We'll see how it goes. If it performs the same on the course, I just got a steal.
I love when I can grab used clubs at a low price that work really well for me.
