And shitty play in 11 games? lol We played superb in game 1 vs Ottawa, we played well enough in game 6, and we played well in game 7 where the win was really never in doubt even though we as fans hung on for dear life. We played pretty well in Game 1 of this series. So I don't see how you think we've been a lousy team for 11 games so far.

But did you really think we were a "#1 seed"? The record indicated it and we had a great season, but I can think of 3 teams who had more talent and more upside (Bruins, Penguins, Caps) than us but either had off years or just couldn't get over the hump for whatever reason.
We knew going in that just like every game we played this year, it was going to be a low scoring drag it out fight for the win or 2 points.
I'm not going to downplay the signifigance of us being the 1 seed because bad teams don't win top spots in their conference, but I still think that despite our ferocious team play we benefited from a few clubs having off years.
