So in e-mailing the head of the league, I found out that there's a keeper cap of 6.5. I decided to keep Datsyuk (.7), Richards (.9), Hall (.5), Grabner (.6), Brown (.6), Horton (.5), Lidstrom (.8) and Luongo (1.6).

As for draft strategy, I'm going to try and get a decent 2nd goaltender like Reimer or Roloson that only carries a cap hit of around .2. That'll open up space to splurge on defense and LW especially.

Why keep a guy like Datsyuk?

You don't remember us fighting that I really like Datsyuk? Also he can put up more points than Richards and costs less. I kept both, but whatever. Just means I need a depth center instead of having to draft a good one.

Because he'll produce more than Lidstrom at a lower cap hit.

Irrelevant since they aren't eligible for the same slot.

In a cap world, Cap number and Procution are always important.

Not in fantasy, since you can't play Datsyuk on D.

No clue. I'm sure not more than .3 or .4. I'll check when I'm not on forum runner.

So you get some random 30 pt defender for .3

    Spend money where it produces.

keeper league I am in this guy offered me

    Bergeron + Quick + Pronger + 2014 1st + Ladd for King Henrik + Tavares + Booth + E Johnson

denied it right away the guy PM'd me back like I was nuts for not accepting that deal, its a keeper league where we give guys 4, 3, 2, and 1 year contracts based on how long we want to keep them I have Henrik at 3 years and Tavares at 4, where he has Bergeron at 1 and Quick at 2, the guy keeps low balling me its soo annoying

I think you mean hate. I do, anyway. I never take that GM seriously after that because I feel like I've already been low-balled and I have no respect for the GM after.
