I went to Guns N Roses last night at the Apollo, what a sick show it was. They played for 3 and a half hours and sounded great. That was my first time seeing them and man was it a rush. Plus, it was free beer all night.

Bought my ticket for Jesus and Mary Chain. Can't it be october already? One of my favorite bands ever and they introduced me to Velvet Underground.

Was amazing. Bruce is still running around like a mad man. They sound so good still. I didn't like the setlist all too much. I thought they'd play more old stuff, but they got some classics in there.

Missed Ghost due to the box office being morons by missing my friends name three times on a will call list. Kinda disappointed I missed them. Everyone says they always put on a good show and a couple of their songs are growing on me, so that stinks.

Ghost played an insanely short set. Barclays said doors were 7:30. We got to our seats at 7:45 and they were basically halfway done playing.

Phil, it sounded very short from the lobby. I couldn't hear what they were playing, and figured maybe there was a surprise opener for ghost, because it was so short. Did they at least play Cirice or From the pinnacle to the pit? Was looking forward to at least hearing those two songs as they may be the only two I like so far.

Yeah, they played Square Hammer, From the Pinnacle to the Pit, Ritual, Cirice, Mummy Dust, Monstrace Clock, and maybe one more? Honestly, the crowd was awful for them. I'm not sure this was the best tour for them to be on.

I kinda felt even the Maiden crowd was kinda weak as was their set. This was one of if not the last show of the tour. Coulda played a double encore. Maybe if the crowd chanted a lil more..... Ah well.

Yup. I went to the Friday show. I think they added the Saturday one somewhat recently, because I didn't even realize they'd doubled them up until the night of.

Been a big concert guy lately. I like the smaller venues around the city. There's this place Mercury Lounge on Houston & Essex that has some really bands come through and it's only $10

Next show for me is Noel Gallagher High Flying Birds at Radio City Feb 15.

And yes I do like the smaller venues Terminal 5, Webster Hall and there is a really small place on Bleecker Street called Le Possion Rouge that I've gone to in the past and going again in June.

Hey doing some late Valentine's Day planning and looking to take my gf to see Marc Cohn on valentines day at the City Winery but it's sold out. Don't do this very often. Is there any way to get tickets when they're sold out? Don't want to spend a ton because dinner and everything else is pricey.
