Carolina is about as good as the Islanders with a very similar game style. The Lightning mowed them down. The Isles have zero chance against Tampa.

Trotz could be the difference there though, he's one hell of a coach, not to take away from Brind'Amour but I think Trotz is capable of outcoaching anyone.

Bruins have a slight pulse

Isles just give no time or space at all.

They’re not the best team, but they may have the best motor. The Islanders are absolutely relentless.

Unfucking believable. This team is going to back-to-back "conference" finals. NYI-TBL rematch should be good.

They completely silenced them and wore them out. If you quiet them, Boston’s depth scoring isn’t anything too special.

 

Tampa is going to be an intense test. Gotta hope this round didn’t tire them out because it was an emotional series.

I love a team that plays the right way making it this far. My only gripe is that in typical Lamoriello/Trotz style...The games will likely be quite boring.

 

That said, would much rather see Isles advance than Bruins.

Again, the Isles play like every shift is do or die. Never mind Trotz, he gets his due enough and deservedly so. But those players, credit to them. They literally all have that underdog mentality and it’s very obvious. I hate them, but good for them.
