QUOTE(S) TO NOTE:

[table=width: 630, align: center]

[tr]

[td=align: center]

“It’s the old sports clich?: We’ve just got to be ready to win a hockey game on Thursday, and that’s all we can manage and that’s all we can focus on. That’s all that matters. We’re still playing meaningful hockey, we have a chance, but we’ve just got to make sure we’re ready to go against the Islanders on Thursday night. That’s really all it comes down to.”

Rangers/Islanders games are usually unpredictable and can go either way, but these two upcoming should be a lot of fun.

I am sooooo looking forward to this one Sharpy! I had this one circled on my office calendar for 2 weeks now. I'm just loving the fact that we're playing meaningful games at this time of the year. I really didn't expect to be in it this far after a month into the season, but here we are.

I think even if we don't make it, this season has been a success in my opinion.

Just the fact that a ton of dead cap is going to be available, and we're most likely going to make some roster adjustments to get a little tougher, makes me really look forward to where we're going!

Indeed. I don't really think they necessarily have to do a lot to be a contender going into next season either, but I think they'll make at least one big move and perhaps a couple of smaller ones to further bolster the bottom six. There's also the Expansion Draft to contend with. I just hope by then we're back to a normally scheduled 82-game season.

I would start Georgiev the Islanders slayer tonight.

Sometimes you have to go with the numbers.

Crunch time - you go with your #1 guy. (or, he's not really your #1 guy, and that's a whole different problem)
