What an absolute legend. Rangers need to offer him some sort of job as soon as is possible. Get this guy back with the correct organization.
I am glad he is doing well.. gotta think if it was a regular dude they'd still be recovering most likely.

They will be. Brooks, I believe, noted a while ago they have an agreement in place to bring him back to the org the moment he's done playing.

I was getting teary eyed watching these interviews. If he's able to come back from this and win a Stanley Cup, it would make him an even bigger legend. I really hope he can do it.
I hate it so much that we didn’t win the cup that year ugh
I'm not sure I'll ever get over the pain of those 3 OT losses with the Rangers leading in each of those games...
I won’t. Ever.

Yea that was a squad- I’ll always hate that they didn’t win with Hank

Next time the Rangers are in the playoffs, TSN is going to cut away to the reaction of the Ranger executives in the booth and in the middle of Gorton and JD will be Hank. He will win a cup with the Rangers.
I’d rep if I wasn’t on my phone

Bummed for Hank but hopefully with time he will fully recover and and at that time he can make a decision that makes him happy and at peace no matter what we feel about it.
Remember after they lost in 2014, he pretty much was bereft in his uniform for a long time after the end of the game. He probably is as haunted by that loss as anyone, and he deserved better.
Wish Henrik Lundqvist a long, healthy and happy life. If he ever gets back to the NHL, it would be remarkable. But at 39 and coming off surgery, think it's unlikely.
