Philadelphia’s Samuel Morin has been fined $3,017.24, the maximum allowable under the CBA, for unsportsmanlike conduct on NY Rangers’ Brendan Lemieux.

If that's the maximum amount allowable, they have a bigger credibility problem than I knew. And I knew it was big.

I looked closely during that replay to see this. While it 'appears' that Lemieux's head hitting the ice would be the natural progression, I wonder if they saw that exactly? Sure, Lemieux's hair had ice shavings on it but I think if he had gotten really knocked, he would have had a vastly different reaction. So, maybe the hair-pulling was only that. I'm not making excuses for Morin just going by what I actually saw. Or think I saw.

Either way, it was a low rent move. But then again, it's PHI.
