Morphinity 2.0
I don't get this decision whatsoever.
Pete
If you're that concerned about proximity, just don't play. If the idea is this is a preparatory league for the NHL, you learn nothing about these players by having them perform without contact.
Mike
Rumor is that a group of goalie moms are making a petition for no shooting within 20 feet.
Dunny
You guys have no idea how much the State cares about my safety. These are integral measures meant to keep me, and my family, safe.
Puck Head
WHL, Q, and OHL players are really getting hammered in regards to losing this season so far. USHL has been going well but now having to get creative on schedule Sent from my iPhone using Blueshirts Brotherhood mobile app powered by Tapatalk
Dunny
US hockey needs the head start more than others, if the recent draft is any indication. :)
Puck Head
US hockey needs the head start more than others, if the recent draft is any indication. :) Meh, I?ll just go look at rolling averages and how the US is closing the gap. That being said, the 2004 birthyear is going to be way heavy American. BlairBettsBlocksEverything
I'm all for taking as many measures as possible to stay safe, but like, I think this is too far. Forgetting the actually playing hockey/players learning to play pro stuff, purely from a safety standpoint, this isn;t going to change the risks. guys are still gonna be within a certain distance of eachother, guys are still gonna share lockerrooms. Why not just play less games with more time in between and complete testing before and after all games?
Sod16
How much freedom do these players have to leave and play elsewhere? They will be doing nothing for their careers, and whatever numbers they put up will be considered irrelevant. The game will still be played in close quarters, and the elimination of body checking will not make things safer. You will see a lot of tight scrums for the puck where previously a body check would have separated a guy from the puck and lead to the players spreading out. Dumb. PC foolishness. Currently with no junior hockey in Canada....not a lot of options.
