These are slightly better but I guess I'm a traditionalist. The printed pads look cheap and most of the designs look like they were made by someone that is new to Adobe Illustrator and approaches everything from a generic clip art style. The print technology isn't quite there yet either, which shows in their issues with color matching, and the material has had durability issues. The original argument was that it saved weight, but other companies have been able to produce traditionally constructed pads that are super light and look a lot more premium with stitched layers.
