Drew a Penalty
A 6'8 240 lb goalie?!?! Has there ever been anything like that? Missiaen was 6'8" but around 40-50 lbs lighter.

Drew a Penalty
Overall a pretty solid draft for the Rangers. I don't quite get the need for the goalies — Olof Lindbom is really starting to sting now — but they went out and got mostly players that have some potential and various competitive edges. It seems like sandpaper and being overall tougher to play against were priorities and most of the picks fill those needs. I'm also a fan of them going for mostly NA players. It'll help to have reinforcements in Hartford sooner rather than later.
josh
I think Carolina and LA had some great picks. Rangers did well, obviously influenced with the #1 overall. But maybe stop drafting players from Sweden? When's the last one that worked out? At least they got some Canadians, finally.

RodrigueGabriel
A+ from Pronman on the package. Likes Cuylle as a bottom 6 NHL forward. Strong prospect pool gets stronger. Obv LaF makes it an A, but he likes the supplementary picks. I think that's 2 straight strong drafts below 1st round. Drew a Penalty
The consensus seems split on Cuylle but I'm okay with the selection. I'm a bit more skeptical of the supposed "better talent" on the board over him. If this were a case of the Rangers being limited in their numbers of selections then I might've been a bit more leery. That isn't the case, though, and I think it's fine to take a swing at a player who potentially offers a unique skillset. Tom Wilson is a unicorn and if you can somehow end up with a unicorn of your own then get your own unicorn.
