Only one Senator broke party lines.
https://www.cbsnews.com/news/amy-con...ay-2020-10-26/Barrett was confirmed by a vote of 52-48 on Monday evening, after Democrats exhausted the procedural maneuvers undertaken to delay her confirmation. Only one Republican, Senator Susan Collins, voted against confirming Barrett to the Supreme Court. All the Democrats voted against her, including red state Senators Doug Jones of Alabama, who is up for reelection this year, and Joe Manchin of West Virginia, who voted to confirm Brett Kavanaugh in 2018.
Confirmed with time to spare. I thought Trump should have selected ACB the last time, but she was obviously the ideal candidate for a quick confirmation.
But not required.

But seriously, wtf is that?To ensure continuity of operations of essential functions, CDC advises that critical infrastructure workers may be permitted to continue work following potential exposure to COVID-19, provided they remain asymptomatic and additional precautions are implemented to protect them and the community.
That's a mixed message right there.

I agree that it's a poor optic.
As far as what we know, it wasn't a safety risk, though. I believe social distancing measures say that when social distancing can't be maintained, to wear a mask. All parties in that video are wearing masks. She wasn't "in the face" of the person tallying the vote, she was across what looks like about a 4-foot table. And to qualify as an exposure the benchmark seems to be 10-minutes not socially distanced. This was less than 5 seconds.
Ultimately, it was a poor decision for political purposes.

Nah, it's not whataboutism.
It's asking for the context of the label. If her actions show that she's "unhinged", then what are we labeling his much more egregious violations of CDC guidelines? Maniacal?
And as we go down the path...Why is anyone voting for a maniacal candidate?
