You've Just Won the Lottery ? What Are You Still Refusing to Buy?

IDK guys...seems like I'm the only one buying stuff and spending that loot. If it truly is more money than you can ever spend, why not use it? I agree that $1-2 million doesn't change your life much, but $30-50M? $100-200M? I'm not saying a 123-room mansion makes any sense at all and by all accounts is pretty much unlivable but you do keep the economy moving with all the staff and maintenance help.

Nah im there with you. I'm buying a nice place in Jackson Holy Wyoming. Something along the lines of a good rustic style log house with all the amenities. Something like this.

Getting myself a nice few cars. One sports car, one truck, one SUV. A second home somewhere in NY so I can spread time between both places. And a hell of a lot of travelling throughout Europe since I've already covered Asia when i was younger.

I'm there with you guys too. Hoping to have found a fairly decent balance between spending and investing. Certainly realizing that the money spent on cars is frivolous while hoping the money spent on the houses are investments. I'm older than most if not all here so hoping the years of investing and planning ahead get me to the finish line and then take care of my daughter.

I do wonder though for all you guys that are saying all the things that you wouldn't spend money on so what would you spend it on?

Do keep in mind that this is a "what you're refusing to buy" thread and not a "what you're going to buy" thread.

I'd absolutely be setting this up as a three phase process:

Foundational Need (buy a home outright, get debt zeroed, etc)

Future Security (intelligent investment/ROI structuring)

Wants (I'd be traveling a lot, buying an ostentatious entertainment system, etc)
