When I was about 14-15 years old (1973-74), our local Pepsi distributor sponsored a summer hockey program where we were given inline skates to wear but could not take home. Each week they'd distribute the skates then take then back again for review. It only ran one summer and it was years later that I began to see inline skates in stores.
