Pete
Great idea... in a video game. No, not a good idea, ever. The logic is batshi....wait, there is NO logic.

Dunny
I honestly don’t know much about him other than I read. Is he considered generational talent or is he a notch below? I'm going to say a notch below, but with with solid intangibles.
siddious
I'm going to say a notch below, but with with solid intangibles. I don?t really know why specifically but he reminds me of McKinnon the little I?ve seen of him play- in terms of skill level of not playing style anyway Sent from my iPhone using Blueshirts Brotherhood mobile app powered by Tapatalk
Flynn
I honestly don’t know much about him other than I read. Is he considered generational talent or is he a notch below? Corey Pronman ranked the top 31 prospects from the last 5 drafts.. He has Lafreniere #4 overall https://theathletic.com/1797661/2020/06/23/pronman-top-31-nhl-draft-prospects-of-the-past-five-years-2020-edition/

Puck Head
I honestly don?t know much about him other than I read. Is he considered generational talent or is he a notch below? Instead of a Mcdavid, Crosby, Ovechkin I?d say more like a Eichel, Mackinnon, Kane Sent from my iPhone using Blueshirts Brotherhood mobile app powered by Tapatalk
Scott
And also not as good and considered significantly more raw as a prospect. It isn't happening. Lafreniere is highly regarded amongst potential first overalls. Trading back is terrible asset management. But think of how much better Hartford would be in this scenario. pws85nyr
fuck that means Henrik is going to want to stay. Lmao. I was also thinking this has a big impact on our RFA?s no? Assume Lafreniere pans out to be a stud, and Mikka is El Capitan and gets his extension, need some money left to build the rest (see the Leafs). Strome is now 3 year max offer no? If you want to keep him that is, and similar concept for ADA. If Lafreniere pans out you pay him max money max term (Matthews, Marner, Eichel etc) after his ELC expires. Just curious how this affects what you offer NOW ensuring you don?t fuck everything moving forward (not sure they give Kreider that contract if they knew this, would certainly have been shorter IMO). Screw 2020-2021, the year after with no Hank, Staal, Smith etc, and add Lindqvist, maybe Miller, Fox, Lindgren, Shestorkin, Kakko, Lafreniere...oh my god. Take it a step further and think if Howden can be a solid shut down C and Chytll actually produces, and Andersson...nevermind.
Phil
I honestly don?t know much about him other than I read. Is he considered generational talent or is he a notch below? MacKinnon-level. Franchise player, even if he isn't "generational."

4EverRangerFrank
But they can still trade down right, like get 5-6 other picks in the second and third round? LOL

Pete
The thing that separates this from Kakko is Lafreniere has the NHL level speed and shot.
Dunny
Best thing is he can actually skate and shoot, unlike that other guy.

CaptainMorganBarron
This is like the Pens trading down from Crosby to take Bobby Ryan because they had Lemieux at center. no, more like trading down from Ovechkin to Malkin.
Pete
no, more like trading down from Ovechkin to Malkin. Well, no. Byfield isn't Malkin. He's a significant drop off from Lafreniere.
