Looking at the last several years, it looks like 98 points should earn you a playoff spot. The Rangers are currently at 74 points with 19 games left. 24 points over that stretch should get the job done. The problem is they only have 6 games remaining against teams that currently have less points than them (NJ, Arizona, Calgary, Buffalo, Florida, and Chicago). Assuming they win all those games, they still need to win 6 out of 13 against good teams. That probably means the Rangers will have to win 2 out of the 3 games with each Philly and Pittsburgh, beat Columbus in the end of March, and then find one more win over the likes of Washington (x2 home and away), @ Colorado, St. Louis, @ Tampa, @ Dallas.

Obviously it's doable but it's going to be difficult I think. A couple of loser points would help in some of those difficult games, as long as it's not against Philly or Columbus.

Worked out reasonably well. Our game at noon is huge. Really hope we get a rare Sunday afternoon rockin crowd but we shall see

Easy canned narrative for Sunday. If we win, then Friday's result was just a blip. If we lose, loss of Kreider/Shesterkin catching up with team.

I think both are false narratives, and to the Rangers credit, we overachieved in February. It would be great if we kept the push going and earned a playoff spot, but I expect us to finish in 9th or 10th in conference. Our schedule down the sketch is not joke, and the lucky bounces that went our way in February could well go against us in March.

Crap. Had they traded Kreider, this team would surely be a fucking lottery team. They look so dejected and down.

Why haven't they called anyone up? Is the forward crop in Hartford THAT bad?

Because there isn't anyone in Hartford better than anyone currently on the Rangers roster that can slot up.

Whatever it takes Ozzy. Did you spend the weekend sober? Could be the issue as well

Not much of it!! I did feel like I was gonna puke after watching that display of "defense"!!! :puke:

I felt bad for Hank; fucking team defended like a girl scout troop on their periods!

Thank god I watched both games at the bar...stiff belts of JD were needed on both occasions!!!
