You know it's funny, I was on CF looking at UFA/RFA class and I had him as a possible Kreider replacement.

Looks like a young Brian Boyle, which is fine if he's not the main piece in a deal.

Would be a great add for the bottom 6, but I don't think Minnesota is looking for rentals. I think he's going to cost you big.

 

I'd look to flip whatever picks we get for Kreider, or whomever, for him. I'd pay a shitty 1st for him.

Arb eligible RFA. Good numbers in limited minutes on a team that will very likely miss the playoffs. Shouldn’t be too pricey to acquire or keep around

Holy Shit !! Yes...gimme!!! This is exactly one player role type we need badly. Native New Yorker, and I like the history with Quinn too. RFA deal shouldn't be bad either to sign. Probably can get him for 1.5 mil for 3 years.

Third line in a few years of 6'6" 227lb Greenway, 6'3" 217lb Morgan Barron, and plays bigger than his size 6'1" 213lb Lemieux.

Doesn't seem like a deadline deal. More like a Buch deal in June. With the Parise, Suter, Spurgeon, and Zucc contracts, they have serious long term cap problems. Same could be said of many teams, but MN more than most. MN definitely not a Kreider destination, or any other UFAs for that matter.

If for Buchnevich, they better get a good deal more than Greenway.

Greenway/Howden/Fast might be a decent 4th line. All 3 have very similar point production in the NHL actually.

Classic buy low candidate. Familiarity with Quinn, size up front to replace Kreider, has talent, stuck in Minnesota.

Might just be Minnesota looking to get an extra draft pick at the draft.

 

That?s kind of interesting in that going back to the opinion piece written by Jeb Baggart in the hockey writers .com where one of the teams listed as having interest in Georgiev?-Ottawa, listed Logan Brown and a pick ( Ottawa has 2-1st and 3-2nd Rd picks) for Georgiev. Logan Brown being 21 yrs old 6?6?. Taking it a little further, imagine a 4th line of Greenway?Brown?Gettinger, all listed at 6?6?.

Size, skill, smarts. Good speed. Not Kreider speed but since Kreider only uses it half the time, not a real loss.

 

If you can get a 22 year old LW who's pacing around 35 points with no PP, not sure why you wouldn't grab him.

Are they interested in Rykov? Not sure what the Rangers can realistically offer besides one of their mid level D prospects. Andersson?

Look at the Isles losing JT. I'm sure they thought they needed to replace his production but would ya know....they made due. Pretty well too. Addition by subtraction.
