BrooksBurner
A $7M dollar cap hit for Nylander, who's on pace for 34 goals and 70 points is a pretty good deal. Overpaid. We've got Stromer doing 75 points for 3M.

Mr.wiskers
That kind of went side ways: what I meant was if we traded for Nylander we wouldn?t have 5 righties on the PP because there?s no way we can pay everyone so Nylander will more than likely mean an end to Strome and ADA or Kreider being here Unless there?s more to Lundqvist to Colorado than just Mike Chambers opinion piece. BrooksBurner
Until his contract expires in a few months. I know, hah, was just being sarcastic. I agree with you on Nylander. Wish he were a lefty though. Rangers need a top end left handed shot, but Chytil/Kakko soon enough I suppose.
RangersIn7
Yet another article linking Georgiev to the Leafs https://theleafsnation.com/2020/01/14/doerrie-why-the-maple-leafs-can-and-should-acquire-alexandar-georgiev/

josh
So, Georgiev + Andersson for Johnson or Kapanen plus pick? Done deal. Not sure Andersson would be enough value to get that done. Fast? If the pick is a 2nd, or one of their forward prospects That's what the author pitched. If that's actually on the table, I'd jump at it. It's an opportunity to solve two organizational problems at once and manage to get better in the process.

Keirik
While they are feeling generous throw in Smith and retain 1m in salary since they are currently fielding an AHL defense, push for Kapanen so Kaapo has a buddy and we all walk away feeling satisfied /that’s what she said

Keirik
Trades usually require a physical. Yeah and predisclosed injuries usually don’t affect them much unless it’s discovered the injury is extremely severe.
Puck Head
Skjei, Georgiev, and Fast for Nylander. Shore ups their defense, get an insurance goalie, and a responsible two way winger for a deep playoff run. Turn those 8-4 losses into 5-3 wins! Go leafs go ! Phil
Georgiev/Kreider(50%) for Johnsson/Bracco/1st I don't think they need both. Bracco needs top-nine or he's back in the A. How are you getting he and Johnsson into the lineup?
Keirik
Bracco would be cool to get, two very local boys that might have even played against each other. They at least crossed paths
RangersIn7
Leafs need a backup and a D. If Georgiev goes there, I think he goes there alone or as the only really significant piece.

I think there's room. To start for rest of year: Panarin - Strome - Buchnevich Johnsson - Zibanejad - Bracco Howden - Chytil - Kakko Lemieux - McKegg - Fast Get a feel for what the newcomers are offering. Don't like what you see from Bracco? Johnsson looks more like a 3rd liner than a top 6 wing? Adjust accordingly in the offseason.
BrooksBurner
They cant trade their first this season or next season, I dont want to wait for 2022 for a pick Conditional 21 1st if they have it. 22 otherwise. I'm still fine with that based on the rest of the return. At this rate, any additional picks we get I imagine might be trade assets more than own picks. Having an additional 1st in '22 when I hope the Rangers are a serious playoff team would be quite a boost for making a move.
