Hopefully making room to bring Krav back...

AHL doesnt have roster limits. They have like 10 healthy scratches a game.

And they called up whats his bust.

This is Meskanen leaving. Probably unhappy with playing time, realizing this path to the NHL isnt going to happen.

Roster limits aside, they had 11 forwards (combining Chytil/Andersson into 1) that were the main team (playing in 20+ games). Meskanen leaving opens a spot in that main group for Krav.

Welp all these names that where being thrown around during camp as possible contributors or taking the next step are falling by the wayside one by one. To early for final judgement of course but at the quarter pole it's not very promising across the board.

Nobody though Meskanen, Gropp or Ronning would be "possible contributors" during camp, though.

In Meskanens case, he was a swing at a Euro FA. Those usually fail to pan out. It's hardly a big shock that it's ended this way.

These guys were discussed last offseason.

Based on the team the last 2 seasons, I still think its a bit disappointing that none of them progressed to a position where they might be considered for a call-up. Now, 2 are in the ECHL and the other is gone. hashtag Hartford.
