In all seriousness, it's interesting that nearly everyone on the board has a bad vibe about this game. I share it. One reason to be optimistic is that Georgie has been remarkably impervious to rust after lay offs, and he may do some good things for us tonight. Rangers win 7-3 because the NJ defense has been weakened by the injury to Andy Greene and now they have to put Damon Severson on the first pairing with P.K. Subban. Hynes has no idea what the hell he is doing and the defense in general for New Jersey has been lackluster to nonexistent. Hynes has been consistently outcoached thus far this season by the likes of Paul Maurice, Dave Tippett, and now, Joel Quenneville. Hynes as been outcoached by these veteran coaches when he has the final change. As a matter of fact, NJ has been 0-18 on the PP. That is inexcusable considering the level of talent Shero brought in. Changes need to come to NJ sooner rather than later, but that might not happen because the Devils organization has been silent. But the narratives will be interesting tonight. Hughes vs. Kakko.
