Ryan Callahan Diagnosed with Degenerative Back Disease; Recommended to Retire

I've always been suspicious of Larry's statement that they agreed on numbers but not the NMC. I think Slats always knew that there would be not agreement without the NMC, so he could throw out whatever numbers he wanted for public consumption. Cally's career took the exact path that Slats, and even casual Rangers' observers, expected after the trade. I still like the Rangers chances in 2014 with Cally as opposed to MSL, but that needn't be debated any longer.

You guys are really something. I guess quotation marks in this article don't mean doo-doo when it comes to the ridiculous posts that some put on this forum. And some always have to say FUCK in most every post, for who knows why. And the moderators go along happily. BTW, it's not about Larry Brooks, who mostly makes rash statements. It's about the entire article.

Not true. Because the NYR wouldn't agree to a NTC, after agreeing to $6 million per. Looks like you just want to prolong this discussion with one-liners. I don't. Bye, bye!

I'd say asking for an NTC after getting $6 mil a year makes you greedy.

Glad we didn't pay him that contract, which he never even sniffed living up to.

Simple case of a player earning his contract when here, but would be foolish to think they?d earn the next contract.

Ryan somewhat played towards value of that course react his first season there at age 29

The next four years though were abysmal.
