I'd imagine that any scenario in which we take on Ryan Callahan is a scenario where we've struck out in FA; and even if we didn't - Lemieux, Buch, and DeAngelo aren't taking up 9m in cap space, we're almost assuredly not going into next season w/both Vesey and Namestnikov (at least one is gone), we're almost assuredly thinking about a Shatternkirk or Smith deal...
