Jakob Ragnarsson - SWE (2018 3rd Round Pick)
= 2018-19 Stats: 0-2-2 in 16 games with Almtuna IS (Allsvenskan)

Vitali Kravtsov - RUS (2018 1st Round Pick)
= 2018-19 Stats: 6-11-17 in 32 games with Traktor Chelyabinsk (KHL)

    K'Andre Miller - USA (2018 1st Round Pick)

Joey Keane - USA (2018 3rd Round Pick)
= 2018-19 Stats: 3-15-18 in 25 games with the Barrie Colts (OHL)

    Other Notable Rangers:

Filip Chytil - CZE (2017 1st Round Pick)
= Eligible to play, but about zero chance the Rangers send him.

Olof Lindbom - SWE (2018 2nd Round Pick)
= Has only appeared in 2 games with Djurgårdens IF J20 (SuperElit) I think he's hurt, but can't confirm.

Lauri Pajuniemi - FIN (2018 5th Round Pick)
= Has appeared in 15 games with TPS (Liiga) and played in some junior tournaments this past summer, but is not on Finland's preliminary roster. Can't confirm, but I think he is hurt too.

Calle Sjalin - SWE (2017 5th Round Pick)
= Looks like another injury. Hasn't played a game this year with Leksands IF (Allsvenskan). Not sure he'd make the team if healthy, but he is eligible.

Aside from Chytil, only two of these players excite me. What is Lundkvist's deal?

What's his deal? He's 18 years old and playing on the top team in the Swedish Hockey League.

Lead Dmen under 20 in points. League wide, he’s 30-something in points among dmen. He’s coming along.

Erik Karlsson put up 10 points in 45 games the year after being drafted ged

Hard to complain, not compare when talking about a teen playing defense against men.

Much different world than juniors or even college

The fact Lundkvist plays every night for Lulea at 18 is testament to his quality.
He'll be a solid NHL player. Probably lacks the offense to get people excited, but he's got the tools to be a valuable asset in a few years time.

So far all 3 of this years 1sts looks to be good picks and all developing well, good to see.

Your describtion of him (combined with him being a right handed swedish D) its hard to not compare him with Strålman. Is that a good comparison you think? Or could he be even better than that?

Does sound like the "perfect" partner for K'andre Miller tho

Stralman seems fair, but remember that he was a pariah in his first few NHL years.

I'm all fucking in on a Keane and K'Andre pairing.

Absolutely no reason to think that would happen, but it would be sweet.

I don't think Keane makes it. There's something more than meets the eye with that guy. I don't think he's very popular in Barrie either.

Dunny, what's the inside Canadian scoop with Lavoie getting the call over Dach?

And Vodka saying he was a healthy scratch

And him being passed over in his initial draft year.

In short, based in nothing but I still think I'm right.
