Trump Suggests Authorizing Military to Fire on Migrants at the Border

His quote just now is that "rocks and stone will be considered a firearm." He later clarified saying rocks are basically rifles.

The USA has a fascistic fear-mongering coward and lying narcissist as our Commander and Chief. A draft dodger and race baiter to boot. He can not even denounce white nationalism in the face of anti-Semitic mass murder. This is not hyperbole, this is straight talk. Forget this past weekend, back to his behavior today.

Our Comm and Chief is playing with men and women of the military as if they are pawns in his election interest. [He keeps saying this election is about him. Everything is about him to him, ffs.] First, he gins up the stakes thumping about the deployment of 5000 troops. Forget that we have trained border patrol and the National guard if needed. Now he is screaming for 15,000 troops, more than are deployed in areas of combat around the globe.

Gotta love when politicians use the military likes the King's personal army. Is anyone really scared of the 15 to 150 Hondurans who may eventually make it to our border in a few months? Are memories that foggy that you don't remember the last invasion?

BTW, speaking of today's news: Where is the middle class tax cut proposal that was promised by Trump on Nov 1 or earlier.

Trump's border deployments could cost $220 million as Pentagon sees no threat from migrant caravan
President Donald Trump's move to deploy troops to the U.S.-Mexico border is shaping up to cost $220 million, according to two U.S. defense officials who were not authorized to speak publicly.
Trump, who has made the caravan one of his prime targets in campaign speeches, said he is prepared to send as many as 15,000 troops to the border.
A Pentagon risk assessment found that the caravan did not pose a threat to the United States, a source said. This person also said that the caravan would take about a month and a half to get to the U.S. border.

So either: 1. Trump truly sees the migrant caravan as a dangerous invasion, contrary to what his intelligence officers are telling him.
    2. Trump is willing to waste millions of dollars on a political stunt, in an attempt to play to his base, and increase his voting base's turnout.

Trump loves when people focus on his bad behavior. It distracts attention from where it should be - on his bad policies.

It's amazing. he has our troops eating Rations in Texas with no mission. If any of the caravan eventually make it to the border, they plan on applying for amnesty at the Tijuana/San Diego. Gen Mattis just said the troops are there for confidence building now. Fuckin unreal!

Trump was owned again by Macron, told him to learn German, then blew-off the 100 year aniv of WW1. Then he could not even lay a wreath in Arlington. What a piece of shit. Our vets know he's an immoral autocrat.
He's too depressed over the fact that he is now going to have to answer to his actions. That the voters delivered a midterm crushing. That his taxes will be public. The dysfunction in the White House is at epic levels. An insider said it was the Maury show w/o the DNA tests.

Also gotta love his willingness to devalidate our democracy. The right to vote, the bullshit accusations with ZERO evidence, "people use disguises to make multiple votes". What a tool.

You sound like you're just upset, Giacomin. Did your local grocery store reject your voter ID when you tried to buy Lucky Charms?

Go see Bryan Cranston play Howard Beale in Network, on Broadway. Should be cathartic and entertaining.
