Maybe they made this deal prior to foreseeing that they were going to tear this down though don't think that argument holds water given the Steps trade.

At least the contract is not a total albatross.
    Shat Trade??

I'm a little bit concerned that Quinn is a little bit too quick to juggle his lines. The Hayes combo was excellent in Game 1 but was already broken up half way into Game 2. Shatty has not played in a year and not played on two legs in a lot longer than that. He needs to be able to work it out. The replay diagnostic on the goals against last night looked like vintage late AV era highlights! BTW how about a rule in the next 2,000 page CBA that you can't schedule a third game in four nights with a start less than 24 hours after the start of the previous game where there is travel between those games?

Theyíve been pretty clear the decision was made late in 2017 after the team stunk the place out. They could be lying of course, but I donít see why they would given it makes them look worse than pretending the rebuild started in the summer.

Smith isn't as big a problem.

    I never wanted shattenkirk.

The timing has been fucked since the Stepan trade. The timeline has made 0 sense to me.

I donít think itís fair to use the Shatty signing as an example of a poorly thought out rebuild. I guess at least if you accept that the rebuild was set in motion half a year later, with the organization in a vastly different frame of mind.
Well I called for it. And yes Iím questioning management just as I did then. So yes that was and is my poiny

??? It is true. It was an offsides and he decided that he wanted to get pissed and punch Martinook while he was tied up with him on the ice. And he tried dropping the gloves late in the game....

Again. I said I don't think he played poorly. He just has this issue with going overboard with trying to be a tough guy, which is something I feel isn't at all necessary especially at the times he does it.

It one thing if he trying to set a tone, but late in a game down by a goal... Or right after the team scores.... He's gotta work on his timing

I was no fan of the Shattenkirk signing. I really felt it served no need. If I recall, many figured he'd be able to play on a 1st pair with McD. Or at least 2nd pair with Skjei..

With that being said, I think he needs some time to put himself back together. Nevermind trying to figure out the game plan of this staff. It's only been 3 games. Hopefully the entire team starts putting something together.

    You’re upset with coincidental minors?

Yes. Because later in the game he couldn't control himself again. I could be wrong, but I feel like this was an issue last year and an issue with the Yotes as well.

When your offensive minded D man who didn't play the first two games takes HIMSELF out of the game with a needless penalty, it does bother me.
