It also doesn't show that the crisis is considerably worse in the US...the difference between 47,000 and 34,000 per million is, what 1%?

    Really the only way to stop the opioid crisis is to stop prescribing them, which is directly enabled by the US govt, specifically the ACA, and would be made worse with universal care. You can provide all the naloxone and buprenorphine you want, but they don't get to the root cause, which is Americans going to the doctor for generic pain and receiving opioids.
