Why are the Bruins doing this? They need more speed on defense, and Chara will not help them because of the Boy's Club up here in Boston!

Considering he leads the first place team in the East in ice-time and is a +26, I think he's doing just fine. It's only one year and they don't have to start resigning any RFA's until next summer.

I can't imagine why they wouldn't give him less in real cash and more in bonuses.

And while is +/- looks good, and his metrics are good...He's got the worst metrics of any regular defenseman on the team.
