Jets are my pick to win the Cup, love the way this team is built and plays. Yet, anyone who has watched the Preds lately might find it hard to imagine a team winning 4 in 7 against them.

Regardless, this should be another free flying fun one, except this opponent can finish. Laine, Schiefele, Wheeler and Ehlers are elite forwards and Connor is another dynamic kid making serious strides. When Trouba comes back, their blueline rivals anyone.

This tanking thing is not natural for me once the game starts. I find myself rooting for both teams and good exciting hockey. Everything is a win, sure alleviates the pressure. We score, they score, it doesn't matter, it is all good. Think this winning streak ends tonight, though.

Saw a few comments here and elsewhere inferring a disappointment the players are not tanking. I assume those are just 'off-the-cuff' comments and that everyone realizes that any player worth their salt does not give the draft (tanking) a moment's thought. Hope that didn't need to be said.

And let's not get crazy about the playoff race yet. Florida is real good and now one of the hottest teams in the league and we are not catching them. You might make a case to catch the Canes and Columbus, but that is still not enough.

BTW, a hot Florida could have a chance to upset the Division winner. And the Bruins have won 3 straight, but a getting decimated with injuries. The McAvoy one looks serious and is a killer. Patrice has an issue, so does Rask. Meanwhile they are crediting Nash for rejuvenating Krejci's game. Tampa is pleased will Miller's fit too. Good, cause I LOVE NAMESTNIKOV!!

wolfpack shit is old and lame.

And it will create problems trying to look for past GDTs in the future.

These comments are made by fans that know that losing now is in the best interest of the team. Any comments made about players tanking is just fooling around. I think everyone knows that every player is a professional and will continue to give their best efforts day in and day out.

    Real talk:

How is the AHL so far behind in highlights/social media/live streams?

I get it's not the majors, but c'mon man, let me see the highlights of each game. Let me be a fan if I want to be a fan. It's all so obtuse.

I haven't put their app back on my phone since getting a new one, but last year, it was just an awful app. It was difficult to navigate and barely gave you any info about the games.
Their site isn't terrible, but it certainly isn't the best.

Whilst their performance last time around was good, that 4th line makes my eyes bleed.
Interesting to see what we can do against a proper team.

Agreed. Many highlights missing, expensive video subscription, often late info / write ups. Even if the official app/website are behind, you'd think the social team could post video of goals regularly and not when they feel like it / or a day later.

Because most of the arenas only have a hanful of cameras set up if at all. So the cost to equip every arena equally isn't worth the low viewership via subscription.

Really? I thought most of the games had cameras and they offered an online subscription for watching it. http://ahl.neulion.com/ahl/. "every game. every team. LIVE" - also $200 USD which makes it comparable to the NHL Gamecenter package.

Put that at $100 and we'll talk.

Also, everyone has phones. Rangers.com does a decent job of capturing goals during traverse city/pre-season scrims. I think they could grow the game doing at least minimal effort.

All have cameras. It's likely the man-power cost associated. You can have one guy moving around a camera, but then you also need producers and so forth to up the level of quality. The AHL is content with the baseline. Minimal effort is a lot more effort than it's actually worth.

I hate arguing online, but this is why I mentioned it "Because most of the arenas only have a hanful of cameras set up if at all"

You can get that footage and place it on YouTube, the team's website, or on social to help grow interest in prospects (and in return the Rangers/team) and to help grow the interest in teams in their local market. I don't know how you can argue that a minimal effort isn't worth it in an age when access to information is abundant and people take vested interest in all levels of sport.

The games are already being broadcasted. Lower the price to incentivize. Make the video content accessible during/post game as it is with every other league. Post highlights. I don't really see where your position stands other than to say "it's too hard".

But anyhow, I digress. I'd just like to see more of of the pack and to be more of a fan, but they make it challenging is all.
