Now Matz is out with finger injury.

Freakin' unreal for this team, but Matz should still make his next start (We hope).

They really are. This nice guy bullshit isn't working. They are STILL fundamentally horrible and still can't put up runs to support the starting pitchers.

I know it's typical Met fan to say, but BRING IN WALLY BACKMAN. This spineless, soft spoken bullshit is getting no results. Terry Collins looks like Mike Keenan compared to this guy. Leave it to the Mets to bring in a fucking pitching coach to be the manager.

I hope they don't rebuild. This team could be good, if they had a GM and a manager who didn't act like such fucking bitches.

They need much more than Wally, their farm system is in shambles, they need to tear it all down and start completely over. Only way to do that is trade your best players IMO. Yes, that includes DeGrom

I don't disagree, but the real problem with this team starts at the top with ownership. I wish they would sell and get real owners and get real baseball people in place.

I agree, but the whole Sandy philosophy is dog shit. I think it's a bigger issue than the owner who HAS been spending.

It fell apart once Sandy wanted no part of Murphy.. I mean look at the situation. They had no option to fill that void, and they let him go to a division rival for fair market value.... They just brought back Jay Bruce at similar money, WITH A PACKED OUTFIELD!!!!
Cespedes, Conforto, Nimmo, Lagares.. They needed Bruce? He fits Sandy's philosophy? He wasn't into Nimmo. He joked about him over the winter. And with no option to play in place of injured players, the fucking kid shines. Sandy was likely going to dump him in a trade if any OFer were still healthy.

Cespedes fell into the Mets lap TWICE. Sandy lucked out in nabbing what should be a top 10 player. Last minute reach on a trade, and a market that didn't want to pay Ces.

What has this fucking guy done? Who can we say is a player he brought in or drafted? He's made very little good choices.

And while that happened the whole farm system went to hell, the Mets have ZLITCH in prospects coming up the ranks. It's so bad that ownership went over Alderson's head to hire back noshirt-Omar to run scouting

I went last night and the same ole crap and to me it appeared there were more Yankee fans than Mets fans at the game last night. I've gone to 2 games this year and they have scored a total of 3 runs. THEY SUCK!!!!!!

    Mets release Gonzalez.

    Mets release veteran Adrian Gonzalez

Good idea, drop the teams 3rd best RBI producer and a still gold glove caliber 1st baseman How is Reyes still here?

This better be about getting Smith in there and not Ty fucking Kelly.
