The Matz Melt continues with this as soon as he get in a little trouble he folds under the pressure. Now with Harvey, Matz, and Wheeler struggling on the backend of the rotation I"m thinking the Mets should start looking at Lugo as a possible replacement.

I think it's time to make some package deals, say Harvey lagares/nimmo or another starter batter combo

Brutal loss yesterday and many culprits from the bull pen to the the fielders committing errors or not making plays.

They just can't rely on Harvey or Syndergaard throwing their arms off. NYM needs offense (that means Cespedes, Frazier, and Bruce) to come to form. Saw that last night against SD, won 14-2 with 19 hits (even though the Padres are such trash)

    Harvey has ZERO trade value.

I think you mean deGrom as of right now Harvey is bit player on this team right now, but yes they do need a more consistent offense.

Like every sport, everything usually levels itself out. The Mets have met reality

Can't have the starting pitching starting off the game giving up runs in the first inning. Also, never pitch to Freddy Freeman the man is a Mets killer.

And just like that, the Mets are out of first place and spiraling with a possible DeGrom injury.

It's a shame when one of the games top pitchers gets hurt swinging a bat. Time for universal DH!

I'm hoping it is not a season ending injury, but haven't heard anything from the MRI

    https://nypost.com/2018/05/03/exhale...ke-next-start/

Jacob deGrom might not miss a start after an MRI exam showed no structural damage after the right-hander left Wednesday’s game with a hyperextended right elbow.

“There’s nothing wrong with him,” manager Mickey Callaway said Thursday. “He’s gonna try to make his start on Monday.”

Callaway said deGrom can resume playing catch on Friday and the Mets will monitor him.
Huge sigh of relief from Mets fans
