- Schedule is not favorable for the Rangers to make the playoffs, struggled of late since the Winter Classic, injuries

- Season hasnt gone as well as they hoped

- NYR thought Lias Andersson was ready to play for the big club when drafted, hopefully Andersson/Chytil will be a big part of the future

- Nash is a really good player, just overpriced for the level of production, could be helpful with a team with an elite center

- Will get a lot of phone calls for Nick Holden

- Will look the best they can with the look to the future

- NYR wanted to send a message to the fans with that memo

- NYR will consider trading Ryan McDonagh, NYR will have to find out what McD wants contract wise after the season, NYR will have to get a significant package of assets if they trade McD which he thinks they will. Doesnt know if its wise to sign McD for something like 6 year/$7 million per year

- Doesnt know what Zucc would bring in return in a trade, may have more valuable being here in NY

- If right deal is there McD/Zucc could be traded by deadline, if not re-assess after the season what their terms would be long term.

- Lundqvist has had a good run this year, team broken down in front of him, goalie #s start to decline at 34, will be really hard to trade, few teams in the market for a goalie and even fewer with the cap space

- Shestyorkin's timing will be when Lundqvists term is over, Craig Button has him ranked #9 prospect in the league

- Smith didnt come into camp in great shape, will have to look into the mirror

- NYR will need to invest in a #2 goalie until Shestyorkin is ready

- AV is like old man winter when it comes to coaching in the NHL, 5 years

- Its been a very good run for the NYR

- Reason wasnt able to get over the hump b/c they never had an elite guy in the middle

- missed badly in the 2003 NHL Draft, Getzlaf, Perry, Parise, Bergeron

- missed again in 2010

- AV has done a good job, wouldnt be surprised if he is let go, depends on the type of team they want to have, sometimes its just time for a coaching change, NYR are uncertain in the direction they go

- Doesnt think NYI will make the playoffs, they are right there but cant have games like last night in Buffalo

- NYI dont play well in their own end

- NJD is playing with house money, Hines has done well, Shero will stay the course, a year ahead of schedule, NJD can give somebody a scare if Schneider/Hall play well

A break! Who woulda thought.

- NYR thought Lias Andersson was ready

Is that the reason they choose him over Middelstadt, or the excuse?

It is hard enough to pull off 2 big UFA deals, a couple of smaller deals, possibly a big McD deal, among other things, while trying to maximize return for each deal, all in a couple of weeks

.

Zuc may be more valuable here next year. Depends on a whole lot and is a moving target. No reason to sell Zuc cheap. Or Mac cheap. However, expect a top Dman to return a real premium. A potential young impact player that we need in this rebuild.

Yep, very good job. I'll have fond memories of his time here. Time to move on. Perfect time for all, especially the remaining players. Our new coach needs to have a more dynamic offensive system. Need to attack like the Bruins do now. Like Cooper preaches. They are not dogmatic. Pass diagon, lateral, up and down, as long as they are higher % passes. As long as you are maintaining posession. Rush the puck to get time and space. Still move the puck quickly and shift positions fluidly. AV preaches the north south philosophy to the level of predictability.

- NYI dont play well in their own end

Ending it with some comedy. This is the revelation of the week
