well, half the time he iced a bunch of AHLers.
The other time, he had players tuning him out and hating life.
And they still didn't win the cup, with all their moxie and whatever
But they did have more leadership and guys that would hold each other responsible... until Torts' last season, when he got rid of most of them, and the team didn't show effort.

The voice is getting stale, not many coaches can keep it too long. AV’s time has come, just like Torts did and many other coaches have. Weeeeiiiirrrrrdddddd how that works

Only way to fix its to change coach and some of the roster. Changing the voice in the room isn’t enough at this point.
This roster has gone as far as it can go as is IMO
So its a roster issue...
We've seen plenty of times a new face can bring new energy.
This team needs a voice. And when your coach is your voice, you're not a strong team.

The Ruff hiring spoke volumes, even the organization isn’t sure anymore.
Neither has been as consistently successful as AV behind the bench, here. And talk about coaches that players hated, abandoned, and moved away from as quickly as possible.
Sweet, now we got Zuccarello, Zib and Buchnevich playing dump and chase. Thats just screams success!!!

I agree. I just think the team needs a shakeup from the coach to the roster; which in turn includes better leadership.
For the record I don't hate AV, I think his system works and when this team skates and plays to it's strength it shows. But I'm also a believer in the fact that every coach has a certain shelf life before the message falls on deaf ears.
We have some young guys who are in need of strong leadership and I would love to see 1 if not 2 character guys with some skill brought in who can deliver on that front too.

Yep, I think if the motivation is not intrinsic, then there's a deeper problem.
I think Falco has a point about the need for at least one strong leadership type on the roster though,
but I also think addition by subtraction is another thing to consider.
