What a garbage move throwing his medal into the stands. SMH. Kid needs to grow up, no excuse whatsoever to act that way. I get the disappointment and hell give it away once you leave the ice but show some respect.

Eh, seems overblown. He's a teenager and acted on his impulses after another emotional defeat

No one gives a shit who comes in second. They don't give out a consolation prize after the SCF is over

If anything it shows the guy cares about winning above all else, and as Rangers fans that's really the only thing we should care about.

I second that, apart from the tears maybe. Reminded me of Jose Mourinho (not that I like him anymore, but it's all about winning).

I would bet most would be saying the exact opposite if he wasn't our pick. I guess the rest of the Swedes didn't want to win.

Smart move no. He is 18 and it is no big deal and I love the passion.

Doesn’t bother me either. Looks like he gives a fuck (about winning) more than 2/3 of the current Rangers roster.

If he continues to play with that passion then nobody will hold this against him. A bit of immaturity, a bit of the zealous pursuit of success? Sure but why not?

apparently he got it back so maybe he didn't want to get rid of it after all.

Media members got it back for him. He was asked directly by Swedish media if he was glad to have it back and he doubled down with an emphatic "no".

Andersson is in NY following the tourny. The shoulder injury from the Russia game, which he played through during the Medals rounds, has been diagnosed as a Grade 2 Sparin of the AC joint. Expected to be out for two weeks...

Max Pac and other Canadians were impressed with the kid enough to say they respect him more, after this.

On the flipside, Phil, let's go easy on the expectations. It still seems like you, Dunny and other respectable hockey minds are pushing the development of our 18 y/o C's towards an extremely accelerated pace. I mean, even higher rated prospects such as Marner, Ehlers, Nylander, etc, had at least 1 full year in the A and most first rounders need more than that. Mgmt should not be expecting big contributions from the two, even next year. Like a good cook, when they are ready, they are ready. Don't take them out of the oven raw or overdone (the way AV needs em).
