Honestly, if NYR can't win this one it might be their worst loss of the season. Boston is playing OK considering all the injuries, but this is an AHL team.

Look at their 2nd, 3rd and 4th lines. Unreal. They been getting by because their kids have adrenline, Krug's been good and Pasternak is terrific.

These kids are due to get schooled on the road. Neutralize their top line (Hayes' line I'd assume) and PP. Then outplay the hell out of the rest of the lineup. AV needs to emphasize a fast start tonight and pressure pressure pressure them into mistakes. They get behind and pinned in early, cracks will form and doubt will creep in. Step on their throats.

Boo is gonna play tonight, right? He's fun to watch. After high hopes for him last year, I never expected him to be a factor this year and was worried about his concussions. Gotta like his game. Pushing the play to the net, passes and pressure. When he is going north-south, he's playing his best. And he has avoided defensive lapses, though he is not seeing top 6 centers.

If he is able to play the way he has so far, consistently this year, he's a plus player and nice fit for us.

That was what I was thinking Future, ya beat me to it. Hard to believe they won again on Monday, but they've been doing it at home.

This is a win I want. The deep seeded Bruin hatred was bubbling up, until I realized there is little to hate. Even the Rat is out. What are we supposed to hate some 19 y/o baby faced prospect?

Seems like the Rangers tend to struggle against these teams though sometimes. Little motivation from a personnel standpoint and then get outworked by an entire team of third liners. That was basically the recipe against Ottawa.

Yeah, this 1st period is on AV. It is his job to make sure the team comes out energized, skating and focussed to start each period and do not GIVE them anything. Encourage the forwards to be aggressive, no lateral passes, go to the net, forecheck and force turnovers. The defenders need not overcommit and get caught giving up a 2-1 in the first period. Keep it simple, move the puck up and out. Pressure, keep up the forecheck into the neutral zone and clog it up on the fockers and go the other way.

Make Krug play with his back to both nets.

Charlie McAvoy is a local kid form Long Beach. Expect another contingent of friends and family for a NY kid done good.

Matt Belesky --- 5 yr $19 mil contract...can't even be higher than a 4th liner on this team with all those injuries. I like seeing some of these other teams with these horrific contracts. Makes me feel better about some of ours.
