    Roy Halladay, Dead at 40 After Florida Plane Crash

    A plane registered to former Blue Jays and Phillies pitcher Roy Halladay crashed in the Gulf of Mexico on Tuesday leaving one person dead.
    It was not clear whether Halladay was on the flight.

    Now reports coming in that Roy Halladay is the one that died.

    Terrible.

    The last great pitcher from a by-gone era before the current crop of prima donnas.

    Lots of great memories from Doc, foremost was his debut, ruined by another Hero of mine, Bobby Higginson. Remember it like it was yesterday.

    Sad news indeed and I saw a picture of the plane he was in and it was so small.
