Rangers Loan D Alexei Bereglazov to Magnitogorsk of KHL

In what has come to be an expected announcement, the New York Rangers have confirmed that defenseman Alexei Bereglazov has officially been loaned back to the KHL.

@NYP_Brooksie: Rangers have assigned/loaned D Alexei Bereglazov to Magnitogorsk of KHL, as confirmed by NYR.

Failing to crack the Rangersí defense out of training camp and preseason, the 23-year old was assigned to the Hartford Wolfpack where heís skated in 13 games, registering one goal and four points for the new-look, Drury-run affiliate.

Hmmm, mixed feelings. On the one hand its good because it eases the log-jam in Hartford, but I recall during the preseason AV saying he was looking better and better the more he played on the small ice. Assume they let him know what they'd like him to work on and we'll see him at camp next year.

Shitty. Hartford starting to look like they really suck, too. Led by 3 AHL lifers, our "kids" aren't very impressive.

Thatís because we havenít developed anyone since 2012 when JJ Daignault, who was an Assistant coach left. Gernander did nothing as far as developing players.

Well, thats a bit unfortunate. Hopefully he gets good playing time and experience and can come back next season.

FWIW, and it ain't worth much, Bereglazov and Chytil were the only two left on the team with a +/- in + territory.
Now that Bereglazov and Puempel are gone Chytil is the only one above 0.
If n ya gots jowls, they might as well be furry ones.

There was another thread on shooting percentages, and I looked at HFD stats, and saw that Boo Nieves had one of the higher shooting percentages on the team. Wonder what role that played in his callup?
