    QUOTE(S) TO NOTE:

"I know that it must be a little scary for Chytil, coming to a new place, a new country, learning a new language and trying to fit into the best league in the world. I'm doing what I can to make it more comfortable for him. And with me and Rick [Nash] on his line, we talk to him a lot and are going to do what we can to make sure he has fun playing his game."

Not really. He's technically on season-opening IR because he got hurt early and couldn't be sent down until he's healthy.

So pumped up that the season is finally here. Been working on my man cave and made sure the new 65" tv was mounted before it started. I'll watching it tonight and then going to the game on Sunday!

Man that Colorado lineup has huge holes. Nemeth (from Dallas) was one of only 3 guys picked up off waivers and he is starting on D. That whole side sucks. As for wingers, on one side at least they have Landeskog and Andrighetto. The other side is barren and overmatched.

Being home AV should get Chytil's line rolling against their third line, which is awful. It avoids Chytil versus McKinnon or a Duchene - Landeskog matchup. Good way to give Chytil some early confidence, with an easy matchup. Surrounded by Zuc and Nash that line should get a fast start and smoke those guys.

This strategy matches up with AV's desire to have Hayes (and his line with Grabs) be our defensive C matching up against the opponent's top line. This game should be in our wheelhouse.

Sup Dunny. Over. Well over. See my post above.
If put out there against their 3rd line this is the easiest matchup he'll have all year. It is a hanging curve just waiting for AV to hit out of the park.

Guess we'll see some penalties, with the new rules, so that could effect his ice time.

Arguably the best D-corps we've ever had in front of Hank on paper.
Arguably the deepest offensive lineup we've had since in a long time on paper.
    And we're young.

This offseason has truly been phenomenal and hasn't gotten enough credit.

With that said, I'm ready to turn paper in to ice. LGR.

    This

A coworker of mine is super pessimistic (or a 'realist' as he'd put it) who always is saying how awful we're gonna be and how we're gonna lose and not make the playofs blah blah blah

We' have been so great at retooling on the fly. This team can be absolutely better than last year's team.

I'm super excited for this season. I really feel like they are ready for a cup run, and that the 'Window' is still wide open, no screen on it or anything
