    I never understood the rage that people seem to have felt about that guy.

    Not the greatest player but there are lots of players like that around the league. He busted his ass and did what he had to do to stick around. Yeah we probably gave him too many years on a contract but he's a hardworking, gritty 4th line guy.

    If Tanner Glass is your biggest problem with the roster, then your roster is probably fine. Or your priorities are in the wrong place

    It wasn't so much of a problem with Tanner as a player as it was with the money he was making to be the player he is.

    People put way too much emphasis on the $$$ instead of focusing on what a player brings on every shift. # 15 gave it all; the NYR will miss his contributions.

    Probably because the money matters. It directly affects the quality of the team you can build. Trying hard and being effective aren't always the same thing.
