The guys that did yesterdays play by play were fair and don't suck. Also Kenny Albert is fine.

But Pierre Maguire is EXCREMENT and ABSOLUTELY SUCKS...

Forslund is just as bad as watching Ottawa Senators hockey. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. Same goes with Brian Boucher. I would much rather have listened to Emrick, Olczyk, and Maguire than those snoozefests we had.

They're pretty much all annoying, imo. Do people watching on TV need announcers and so-called analysts to broadcast the games? When at a game in person, who's announcing what you see? Fire them all & let the sounds of the game prevail. Much like politicians, they have the answers for everything, it seems. Wanna really get steamed? Watch MSG with Stevie V. Guy played 6 games in the NHL & knows absolutely everything about everything.

Regarding Vally, he does know his shit. Just because his career didn't amount to all that much doesn't mean he doesn't know what he's talking about. A lot of people have it "up there" but just don't have the talent to back up their knowledge of the game. A lot of coaches were never good players.

I have no clue what any of you are talking about, Emrick is the best in the game if not all of sports and I listen to Pierre and I don't see the favoritism, he's always talking about how the Rangers are a good team and I can tell he thinks they will win the series even though he can't say it

Vally is a good guy, loves the game, and loves to help kids learn. He definitely knows his shit. Also, there are plenty of great players that can't coach or explain the game as well as others. As talented as these guys are, some are just not built to be coaches.

See I think its the opposite. He was probably a lower third of the pack goalie but I think he would make a great coach just because of his knowledge of the game.

Actually reading it again we're saying the same thing just opposite sides of the spectrum. I was saying how some players have amazing "hockey sense" but mediocre skill and would make for a better coach than they ever were as a player. You're saying that some players have amazing skill but would never make a very good coach.

    - Pierre will be inside the glass for Games 3 and 4, sg3 is looking forward to his analysis (but I forgot he's a superfan so he will miss Pierre's analysis)
    - No timeline for Crosby
    - Pens are as resilient as any team he has seen the last 3-4 years
    - Not going to be a short series now
    - Troublesome that the NYR blew 3 2 goal leads, cant do that, did not respect the opposition, cant give up short-handed chances with 10:00 left in the 3rd period, did not pay attention to little details
    - Not in trouble until you lose a game on home ice, doesnt think they're in trouble right now, have to plant a seed of doubt, create doubt and concern on OTT
    - Pageau is the most reliable, efficient player, guy has guts and moxie
    - Turris is a legitimate big time player, very good player
    - Doesnt know how hurt Karlsson is, mistake to put the puck in his corner, make his partner handle the puck/do the skating, has the escapability of Troy Aikman or Joe Montana
    - OTT will try and take the MSG crowd out of it, MSG fans will be invested in this game, try and play a dull rope a dope style, make Rangers over aggressive and counter attack
    - OTT has an unbelievable neutral zone system where they can turn it into a swamp
    - OTT was not respected enough around the hockey world, thought they were the ultimate dark horse before the playoffs started
    - Not easy to win 4 of the next 5 games, maybe the NYR can thrive under the pressure
    - Game 2 were an abberation for both goalies, Anderson is not good handling the puck, both goalies can be better
    - Team concept with NYR tonight, more hitting, being more physical, can take a little bit of the edge out of OTT, do more of it in Game 3, didnt do too much of it in Game 2

    - Was disappointed in NYR in Game 5, NYR should have won Game 2 and Game 5
    - NYR knew how to win on the road in the regular season
    - Expects them to play tremendously well here like Games 3-4
    - Not surprised by OTT
    - Only seeing Karlsson at about 65%
    - OTT is a really difficult team, very well coached
    - Fundamentals are lacking in the 3 games that they blew in the waning minutes
    - Really, really disappointed in what he saw in Game 5, NYR let them back in with the 2-0 lead
    - NYR are the better team but they have to win the games, all the stuff doesnt count if they dont win even if they're dominate the games
    - Gotta have the same games as Game 3-4
    - NYR do not have the safety net, if they lose they're done, OTT has the safety net
    - 40 minutes the Caps were nothing in Game 5, Pens looked like they were tired, small, and didnt want to compete in Game 6
    - WSH looks invigorated, Pens have no room for error
    - Little edge to Anaheim vs. Edm in Game 7
    - Put going to NSH for a game on your bucket list
    - Didnt think Lundqvist was impressive in Games 2 and 5, reliable in Game 1, and really good in Games 3 and 4, expect a big bounce back in Game 6
    - OTT will still have confidence if this goes to a Game 7, they have a tremendous coaching staff, leadership is solid, they are comfortable to play at home, confident playing with or without the lead
    - Tough to break through winning on the road if you didnt break through earlier in the series
    - Gotta dictate the pace and score early in a Game 7
    - Expects to see OTT try to take the crowd out of it early tonight, not a good sign for the NYR
    - Nash is a key guy tonight unless he has some injuries that we dont know about, Vesey is another key guy if they break through their will be a Game 7

How many times have we heard this? How many times has he lived up to it?

I get he's been fine this playoffs but he's paid to score.... it's a broken record at this point.

Yeah, Nash needs to help. JT Miller just gets a free pass though, it's hilarious.

Not sure anyone is giving Miller a free pass. But he's also not being paid 7m dollars to score goals.

Kreider, Stepan, Nash, Hayes and Miller need to fucking come to play tonight.

That's good, because he doesn't score any. Like zero.
