Anyone got any good ones?

I'm 99.9% sure I just encountered everyone's favorite mullet, Josh McDermitt in CVS on my way home. No pic proof, but again, I'm fairly confident.

I've also encountered Willem Dafoe, Grace from Will and Grace (dunno her name), Hugh Jackman, and Anthony Weiner, who I've seen multiple times since he lives right by my job.

Ran into Chris Rock after seeing Louis CK and had Michael J Fox sit two rows behind me at the same show. Didn't realize it was him until he was halfway down the aisle. Dude is teeny and unfortunately, the Parkinsons is quite noticeable.

Chris Rock just didn't really want to be bothered. Got a picture with him though, but he struck a weird pose because I guess he didn't want to make any contact or take a good picture. Didn't matter to me.

1991

Bill Murray

I'm a kid and apparently Bill Murray was scheduled to show up at some gathering in Central Park my school had coordinated. I asked him about Ghostbusters 3. In 1991. He told me no.

I wish I remembered the exact exchange, but I was like...7.

I've met a shit ton of celebrities. Too many to go through, but I had words with Sandra Bernhard at a club one night back in the 90's. She was bitching about the bouncers letting me walk right in while she waited on the VIP line. Here was the exchange:

Sandra: I've been waiting on line for 20 minutes, and you let that fuckin nobody walk right in??

Me: Go fuck yourself, you ugly muff diver. (The whole line is in tears)

Sandra: Fuck you, asshole !!

Me: Have fun on line. I'll let everyone inside know that you'll be coming in soon, cunt.

Fuckin bitch. I could have left her ass outside all night, or had her booted, but it was more fun to let her in and have everyone talk about what happened between Sandra Bernhard and the "nobody" outside. The "nobody" who knew everyone in the fuckin joint, including the owner. Dumb bitch.

When I was a rookie, I was on a foot post and this guy waked up to me and a couple of guys standing on the street. It was bitterly cold out, it was winter, and the guy was wrapped up in a scarf so you couldn't see his face. He walked up to us, and starts telling us that he is one of our biggest fans. We were kind of just brushing us off, until he unwrapped the scarf from his face. It was Dan Aykroyd. We were all shocked, and told him we were big fans of his. I also had Johnny Knoxville come up to me asking for directions. Of course this was before camera's in phones, so I couldn't get a picture with either of them, sucks, I would love a photo with Aykroid.

Like 20 years ago I walked into a cafe at the Jersey shore and saw a celebrity and I remember being like, "holy shit, that's..." but I don't remember who it was.

Also, just before the election, my wife sat behind Paul Ryan while she was flying to a conference. He was going to some speaking engagement.

Wayne Gretzky walked by me on Central Park South, I yelled out Wayne, Wayne, and just kept on walking, then about 30 feet after he turned around and said Hey. He was with Paulina, she had to be about 17 or 18 at the time.

That midget comedian, Kevin Hart on 58th street

I've encountered Tracy Morgan like 5 times in my life.

He used to live in a friends building in Riverdale so I saw him there when I was younger.

One time after my family had just gotten a new car (this is around 2004-2005) we are making a left turn, waiting for the rest of traffic to clear. Tracy is in the jaguar coming towards us, stops in the intersection and tells us our Mazda Tribute is a nice car and drives off.

randomly saw him a couple of more times. The last one being after the final game in Giants Stadium. Stuck in traffic after an absolutely miserable loss. He is sitting in the backseat of the car next to us, passed out drunk with his face against the front passenger headrest.

Jude Law cut me off on the sidewalk once.. I went all "NY" on him "AY IM WALKIN 'ERE".. Also he is balding.

Bumped into Tracy Morgan a few years ago as well before he kind of blew up.. said oh hey its Tracy Morgan and he replied "Shhh! I am incog-negro"

lol that's great. Guess it's a NY thing to see him

They also filmed part of the sex and the city movie right outside of my highschool and sarah jessica parker walked right by us. My friend called her ugly

All three that I can think of were from when I was working at Monmouth Park Racetrack doing valet when I was younger, and all three were on our version of the Kentucky Derby, the Haskell Invitational.

When I worked in the owners and trainers lot I parked Joe Pesci's car one year. Really an asshole tbh.

Went up to the clubhouse another year to meet Bill Murray. Got a picture with him too. Really cool dude considering there was a line of people bugging him all day.

Finally, one year I brought up Hank Azaria's car. I asked him if it was him and he said, "no, but I get that a lot." But since I knew it was him I said to him, "have a good day Mr. Szyslak." He burst out laughing and then confessed and took a picture with me.

When my mom was 8 months pregnant with me she went to a party at Norman Mailer's house and got motherhood advice from Joan Rivers. I was technically there so it counts lol.

She used to work for a publishing company that got absorbed by Harper Collins, so she has countless stories of running into celebs since if they had a book out they would come to her office.

Some that come to mind are Jerry Seinfeld, Dave Winfield, Aerosmith, Fabio, Ray Bradbury. Got signed books and things from them all over my house.

The ones that I have a conscious memory of though...Jessica Simpson smiled at me in line for Aida; Britney Spears shut down Planet Hollywood so she could eat alone and we had to stand outside in the rain (this happened in the same afternoon); Piers Morgan in Santa Monica whatever fuck that guy; Steven Spielberg at his mom's apartment in LA because our family friend used to manage the building and he just happened to be there when we were; Dee Snider when I was in like kindergarten because his son went to the same school.

Was friends with a kid growing up whose dad did security/bodyguard work for Lindsay Lohan.

When I was younger, I knew guys that owned a pretty big and popular record store here on Long Island. They used to have inspires all the time, and I got to hang with whoever came in, it was pretty cool. I got to meet Ozzy, Papa Roach (I even got to sing on a song with Jacoby during their performance), I got to know Brandon Boyd from Incubus, and got to know Pudle of Mud before Wes went off the deep end, even had the drummers phone number for a while. I also gt to hang with Staind and got on their tour bus, got to help them set up for their performance and got offered a job to work as a roadie with them, but turned it down for some stupid reason. I got to know the guys who worked security for the shows, and when I came on the job, I was working the Fasion rocks detail one year at Radio City, and two of the guys were working for Radio City as security, and they made the boss running the detail have me work with them and I got to stand there as everyone came out of the limo's. I met Fergie and the Black Eyed Peas, Marilyn Manson and a couple of other artists. I also met Bruce Springsteen, Prince, Keith Richards, Elton John and a bunch of other big names while I was on a foot post at a place called Elaines, they were there for an after party for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Inductions. That place always had a lot of big names at it, it was a popular bar for them. Its a shame that it closed down.

We also used to go to the Vanderbilt in Plainview, which IMO was the best music venue Long Island every had, and we went to go see Lit perform, it was a free show, but we didn't know you hd to have tickets until we got there. We went early to wait in line, we actually got there around 1 for a 7pm show, but we brought a couple of cases of beer with us, the venue didn't care. But because we were there early, Lit came in to do sound check, and actually hung with us and drank some beers. It was pretty awesome, and they gt us in for the show too. At another show we hung out with Ian from New Found Glory and were drinking with him. I miss those days, it sucks getting old.

I've met quite a few celebrities over the years

When I was in Little League, we had Cleon Jones and Tommy Agee as our featured guests.

When I was in the Navy, we had Fergie Jenkins, Graig Nettles, and another player I can't remember come for a ship visit and signed autographs and talked with the crew. Great guys, really appreciative.

I met Dee Snider several times (and the rest of the band too a couple of times). Always very cool to talk with.

At one of the casinos I worked at, I've met Zach Brown (of the Zach Brown band). Possibly the nicest guy you can ever meet. He used to walk around backstage and bullshit with everyone and anyone, no matter who you were.

Kenney Chesney is quite possibly the 2nd nicest person you will ever meet.

Phil Savage, of Def Leppard, was an ass

Gwen Stefani was horrible. She screamed and yelled at everyone as they were unloading the trucks to set up the show.

DJ Ashba (of GnR) was very cool

Nikki Sixx was pretty nice to talk to.

Another casino I worked for had David Cassidy's Celebrity Golf Tournament at their golf course (Cassidy was the resident show, with Sheena Easton, at the time) and met several celebrities there. Me and a friend were working the Hole In One hole, so, they would all come over to us and bs with us for a bit.

Vince Neil was a pompous ass. Walked his flabby ass up to us like he was the king of the world and says "I bet you know who I am?". My buddy says "No". Well this kind of shocked him. Says he was the singer in a Heavy Metal band, Motley Crue. Friend says never heard of them. So, Vince says he must not listen to Heavy Metal. My friend replied that he listened to Priest, Maiden, Kiss, etc. Vince says "well, we are just as good as those guys". My buddy told him if they were any good, he would have heard of them. I though Vince was gonna have a stroke.

Also met Wendy Jo Sperber (the fat girl from Bosom Buddies). She wanted us to lie and say she hit a hole in one, so, she could win the car. John Byner tried to be funny, but, wasn't asked what he would get if he knocked the ball in on his next shot. I told him minus 1 on the score card. He got pissed. The Principal, from Saved by the Bell, was really cool guy.

Also met Randall Cunninham a few times. Very nice guy.

Just a few of the run ins I have had.

I spent 10 seasons producing the SF 49ers television show from 2005-2014. In addition to the players and access I had, I met some cool celebs. Chris Isaak was a really cool cat. He played halftime at a game and after our interview Chris, his drummer and myself talked music for awhile. Also met Alyssa Milano through the 49ers. As a kid of the 80's I had such a crush on her. She was really cool and we hit it off. I thought I had a chance with her for a second.

Also met Harry Kalas a year before he died. Great guy. I listened to him for years growing up a Phillies fan and produce a segment for the show and interviewed Harry. Still my favorite celeb meeting. While my crew set up the lights and cameras, Harry and I watched batting practice and he said "Well Jay, what do you think of this year's team?" He had that smooth voice and he was so genuine. That was May 2008 and the Phillies won the World Series that fall. He died the following spring.

As for Will and Grace, I was standing in line at the dry cleaners in Studio City CA in 2004 and in walks Will from Will and Grace. My only celeb sighting I had the year I lived in LA.
