Up front: Tomas Sandstrom, and possibly Tony Granato.

Mike York, Petr Prucha, and, if playing 13 out of your 18 career NHL games here makes you a former Ranger, Jozef Balej.

I wonder how Jan Erixon would be shadowing Alex Ovechkin. I think he would do a good job and eventually Ovechkin would get frustrated, then put Erixon through the boards with one of his flying hits.

Fleury is another guy who would be suspended every second game, but in terms of raw talent he'd crush the league. That combination of speed and skill would have him at the top of the league's leaders in most scoring categories, no doubt.

What I'm wondering given his actual hockey talent and AV's history with far less effective and talented pests is how good would Sean Avery be? With how effective he was for a coach who hated him, I wonder how much more of an impact he'd have had with one who better appreciated his skillset?

One more. HOFER Andy Bathgate. #9. Former capt. Fast, tough as anyone in the league at the time he played. Extremely hard, accurate shot.

Sean Avery hardly got credit for the talent he had. Great skater as well. Too controversial. Come back Sean, all is forgiven.

I assume you mean MSL from in his prime rather than from his time with the Rangers?
