WHAT?!?!?! Raanta was outside the crease and he initiated the contact? WTF. These clowns in Toronto and the refs are blind if they saw on their screens that Raanta was out of the crease

...and why would Raanta initiate contact and lose focus of where the puck is?

Yep, if we had Ellis Island like the good old bad old days, they'd have "fixed" that and added the missing letters when he came in .

    and with that goal...
I'm beginning not to like him. *cough* Sign 'im up Slats.

I actually agree with the officials. Goalie was slightly outside the crease extended his arm slightly. The offensive player had every right to that space on the ice he just made it impossible for us to come out past the blue to get an angle on it

    [RS] (#68) Rangers @ Carolina Hurricanes // ♫ Rock You Like A Hurricane! ♫

Anyone have the Rangers broadcast of the goal? I've only found Carolina's, not sure if they are being biased saying it's a good goal because there wasn't a really upclose look at the front of the net. From what I can see from other angles, it looks like a good goal.

Sam and Joe were going on and on about how it'd be overturned.

I don't agree with the call, because it's not like Raanta was just bumped a little bit, the dude's facemask was put over his head so he can't see, clearly. Even if he was out of the paint, which I understand if this were a case of a simple little bump, the goalie still has to be able to see, even if he's out of the paint. But it's ok, close game, and tbh I'd rather them lose a few of these right now than win all of them. Save the luck for the playoffs where we'll need it and the second wildcard spot to win the cup.

If it was Braden Holtby his facemask would have flew off into the 10th row

I felt the same way and the offensive player has the right to stand in front of the net and I don't remember did he raise elbow in an attempt to deflect the puck? Raanta was at the edge of the goal circle
