    QUOTE(S) TO NOTE:

Right now we’ve got quite a few guys that are fighting it, a couple guys’ games are not very good. But that’s still not a reason to execute at the level we did tonight, and it’s still not a reason to lose the number of 1-on-1 battles that we lost tonight. So it has to be a reality check here.

Steps finally gets on the score sheet again here. Maybe with 2. 5-2 Rangers win.

Kampfer in for Clendening tonight. Not sure about that move. Kampfer looked lost in his only game.

Rapidly starting to get the sensation that the early season success was a fluke and that the romping by other top teams is more the status quo. I think the flaws that everyone identified in the roster prior to the season starting were very much true, and now that everyone's clamping down in the stretch run they're really coming to light.

It's a blue line issue, IMO. Inability of the defense to stop goals, and especially an inability to move the puck up the ice effectively to forwards which forces them to have to carry the puck through the NZ instead. In recent years we've seen the Rangers forwards stuffed all game and the defense unable to do anything about it.

Reinvent the blue line this summer. It'll go a long way into keeping these forwards in contention while they're still affordable.

He has been bad for a while which he has admitted. also Zib hasn't looked much better. Our top 2 centers have had a rough 15 games

In all seriousness good for Glass. That was a good fight between two guys who really want to stay up in the show.

Both men held their own for a very long time. I'd say it was a draw.
