I think it was just family members reporting her as "stable". I'm pretty sure that the doctors/hospital didn't make that claim. So it's possible that they misunderstood her state. It's also possible that she was stable, in the sense that her vitals were normal but then needed surgery to correct the cause of the heart attack and there were complications or she could have suffered another heart attack and that's why she died.
